Burns Night 2016 at the Ipswich and Suffolk Club

On Monday 18th of January the members of Ipswich Round Table and our ex members who are currently in 41 Club joined up to celebrate Burns Night.

Every year the members of Ipswich Round Table and 41 Club meet up for a Burns Night celebration.  The faithful haggis is piped in, whisky enjoyed and a lot of laughs.

It’s good for us all to meet up like this to keep in contact with past members that have gone into 41 Club.  It’s just a good fun night and this year was one of the best I’ve been too.  A lot of drinks, fun and merriment were enjoyed all round.

Some Chairman’s chains were reported as missing but these were safely returned in good time as part of some elaborate hoax.  The Chairman was fined for losing them and normal business resumed.

Our newest member Stuart Coy did a sterling address of the haggis and we all enjoyed a good night.

We had just over 50 of us attending at the Ipswich and Suffolk Club.  The bagpipes played as we celebrated the fun and enjoyment of Burns Night in honour of Robert Burns.

There was even rumour that some of us were out later than expected with around a 3am reported finish – well done gents!
